Greetings and update (04/25/2022)

 Dear Praying Friends,

We just wrapped up a whirlwind tour of Ohio-Virginia. We got to enjoy a couple of days at the Ark Encounter and Creation Museum in KY. We loved it. What an amazing experience. We also got to fellowship with Cozaddale Baptist Church (Pastor Travis Burke) in Goshen, OH and Victory Baptist Church (Pastor Todd Brown) in Warsaw, VA. Both were extremely hospitable and have partnered with us in our missionary work endeavors in the Philippines. I also got word from Community Baptist Church (Pastor Dave Smith) in Coopersburg, PA that they too graciously took us on for support. We are humbled by the help that we have received along the way and ultimately we desire to return (and are scheduled to fly on July 25 - with a transition of time and travel, we actually arrive in Manila on Wed. morning - ha!). God is good, and we have a lot more churches that have contacted us but our time is short and we are not able to be with them all - which isn't a bad thing, per se. Again, I say, we are humbled by the good hand of God upon our lives. I am personally rejoicing in the travel mercies and safety that the Lord has granted to us during our unexpected furlough (thanks to the pestilence of the COVID pandemic).

Please pray for the precious flock in Tuktukan to be protected from false doctrine. Praise God for able and willing church members who can fill in for me during my absence. These are the elements of establishing an independent, self-supporting and self-propagating Biblical, Baptist church. I always wish we were ahead of where we are but as I have come to realize (and I am sure you do too), that there is no short-cut to time. God has a plan and purpose and I am reminded daily to trust in Him.

Marcia and the boys are sorta "under the weather" - each have a touch of the cold - I am sure spring allergies and who knows what other viral factors are going-on (I know, no one knows, except God). But overall they are doing good, and we can praise and thank God for that.

We look forward to being at Fairhaven Baptist Church in Chesterton, IN for a couple days of their annual Preaching Conference. Unfortunately, my father-in-law, who was scheduled to preach is not able to make it (and I am so bummed out because I rarely hear him preach in person as is, and he happens to be one of my favorite preachers). BUT HEY - when I stop and think about how many millions of people on earth who would love to have my problems, I just take a moment and digress and thank GOD for His lovingkindness and mercies. Please pray for Dr. Randy Starr for a complete recovery from his latest bout with pneumonia (Mrs. Starr could also use your prayers for her physical health).

We also look forward to being with McGregor Road Baptist Church in Acton, IN (on Wed. April 27) and then, we shall report back to a couple of churches in Ohio for the coming Sunday as we make our way back to Brogue, PA.

We are rejoicing in the Lord and we are glad that you take the time to read our mini-updates. Marcia and I do use Facebook (for slightly various reasons). Feel free to follow us there, if you wish (you know, for more updates, 😉).

Sincerely,

Bro. Bill

A small update for the week of April 11-15

Greetings,

We are so happy to be back in Brogue, PA (at our sending church) and just in time for us to have partaken in their week of meetings under the wonderful teaching and preaching ministry of Pastor Mike Allison (from Madison Baptist Church in Madison, AL). Each night was filled with great exhortations, warnings, and Biblical instructions concerning our walk with the Lord. A few souls were saved and many decisions were made for the Lord. God is good!

We look forward to spending this Sunday, April 17 with family and friends in wonderful fellowship at Mt. Zion Baptist Church, Brogue, PA. The following week we will be making our way to churches in Ohio, Virginia, and Indiana.

Marcia's dental work is still in progress, but the root canal and the extraction (which we think is the worst of it) is behind us, now. A couple more visits and she should be in good shape - AMEN! Thank you for praying for her.

The boys got to enjoy sometime with Pastor Allison, and I am glad that he was so good with them and influenced them for the Lord. Praise God for a godly example.

Several have asked about our "time-frame" and I wanted you to know that our return flight to the Philippines is scheduled for July 25th (which is a Monday). Our main prayer requests remains that the country would formally declare an "endemic" status on this current problem. Thank you for your prayers.

I can't express how thankful I am for your love and prayers. God is good and what an honor and a privilege it is to serve the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords!

Spring is here and may we take full advantage of that for the Lord and for souls to be made into His disciples.

Sincerely,

Bro. Bill
