I am so glad he knew the Lord Jesus Christ as his personal Saviour. Mom asked me to conduct a funeral service for him, the night prior to his burial. Dad served and was honorably discharged after serving many years in the USAF. His military funeral was so excellently done as his brothers at arms and fellow vets bid him farewell. We will surely miss Dad. BUT I know, by the grace of God and because of JESUS, I will see him again, and we will both be worshipping and serving King Jesus for all eternity. The future is bright and the best is yet to come for everyone who repent of sin and believe on the Lord Jesus Christ. AMEN!

Pastor Chris and Jenny were enabled by God through Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Brogue, PA to visit with us and to bless us with music and preaching for our 7th year anniversary of our missions-work (church plant) in Tuktukan village, Taguig City. God is good and even after the horrible years of lock down due to the pandemic, God has preserved a strong remnant of baptized disciples who love the Lord, love their church assembly, love the word of God (The King James Bible), and love lost souls.

Pastor Chris and Jenny were also instrumental in hosting our first-ever Shepherd's Retreat in the Philippines (which is what Mt. Zion Baptist Church, Brogue, PA does in their area) for Pastor friends, Missionaries, and church leaders. The Lord blessed us with 38 participants (most of which are Pastors and their wives). Glory to God! He used us to be a blessing to some of his choice servants.

Below is a video or our Boy's Sunday School class. I was doing a review/game based upon their Bible lesson for the day. It is a joy to see some of these boys learn and retain some Bible truths. PLEASE pray that the Gospel of Jesus Christ would be understood and received by many of our children, young adults, adults, and seniors (really by all - right?!?). It sure is a blessing to be a part of God's work in trying to reach souls for the Master. From the bottom of our hearts, Marcia, W.T., and Joseph and I thank you for your love, prayers, and support. May God bless you in a manner in which only HE can.

I was also enabled and blessed of God to be able to attend a week-long module seminary at Cornerstone Baptist Ministerial School in Quezon City, Philippines (a ministry under Cornerstone Baptist Church, Quezon City - Pastor Jed Raquintan). Both Dr. Thomas Strouse and Dr. Jed Raquintan taught courses and the fellowship with other men (fellow seminarians) were wonderful. I appreciate the love and hospitality of Cornerstone Baptist Church. May the Biblical truths taught be received and implemented in life and ministry work to the glory of God, the salvation of lost souls, and the discipleship of believers into a Biblical, Baptist church. AMEN!

Bill Hardeckerhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15552819877860565186noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-14877979.post-10168728767982769622023-12-30T01:33:00.001-05:002023-12-30T01:47:56.009-05:00An updated family photo

Dear Praying Friends,

We praise and thank God for His daily blessings (of hope, joy, & peace). 1Thess. 5:18 says, "In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you." It is called "Trust His Word" produced by Ron Hamilton and arranged by Faye Lopez. We trust that you will be edified in hearing the message of the song which is really what we all need to be reminded of, and that is, to always trust God's word. I am very thankful to have God's word in the English language (via the KJB) and the more I read it, study it, and preach it, the more I am convinced that we need to trust His word, indeed!

https://www.facebook.com/marcia.hardecker/videos/371999041844836
Bill Hardeckerhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15552819877860565186noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-14877979.post-50011692803614900472023-09-17T22:49:00.002-04:002023-09-17T22:49:16.508-04:00Godly Music - Draw Me Near the Cross - choral group
Here is another choral piece that our church group was able to offer to the Lord for His glory and for our edification. It is called "Draw Me Near the Cross." It is an S.A.B. or two-parts mixed arrangement by Patti Drennan and published by Alfred Publishing Co. (c) 2001. It is an excellently done medley of "Near the Cross" and "Draw Me Nearer." On this Sunday, Sept. 17, we were joined by some very special friends (a family) from our sending church who are very talented and love music. They added their vocal talents, abilities, and skills to help us sing our best for the Lord. Enjoy listening here:

Bill Hardeckerhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15552819877860565186noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-14877979.post-30435437043462558182023-07-21T09:30:00.004-04:002023-07-22T01:32:26.275-04:00A Wonderful Week Loaded with Blessings - Praise and Thank God!
Praise God for the blessing of hosting a Vacation Bible School:

The children are officially on school break (in the Philippines they took a break after the first week of July and they will return to school at the end of Aug.). So, we decided to host a wonderful Evangelistic ministry: Vacation Bible School. We were able to work with 70 plus children, and some adults (seniors, too). Our theme was "Little Things That Are Exceeding Wise" (based on Pro. 30:24-28) and also we snuck into the program our birds (a cockatiel named Kiwi, and a lovebird named Raindrop or Rainy for short). Several children responded to the invitation, and many of them made professions of faith. Our prayer is that they would continue by faithfully attending to our Sunday School Ministries and Sunday services. We also would like to ask you to pray for many more who truly need to repent and believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, before its too late. We are rejoicing in the goodness of the Lord and in the safety He has provided for us. He even allowed us to have a couple of clear nights of no rain (which helped us) even though it currently is the "Monsoon Season" (rainy season).

Praise God the blessing of having an Evangelistic Bible study:

There were two of these in two separate villages. A husband and wife got saved in the village called "Romantic Village." And, another Bible study in a "ward" (piece of land within the district of Tuktukan). A senior lady (Tess) also placed her faith in the Lord Jesus. These are great responses to direct preaching and teaching the Word of God within their respective homes. Please pray that they would continue to attend our church services, get baptized, and added to the church. Praise God for His grace and mercy in the saving of souls.

Praise God for a visit with a dear Preacher friend, and his grandson from the USA this week. It was a blessing to have a time of fellowship and enjoy an edifying time with a true friend.

Praise God for our church workers who gave of themselves to help and assist to ensure a successful VBS ministry could happen.

Praise God for His grace and His divine enablement. We are just praising God for the many wonderful things that He is doing in our midst.

Thank you, our Dear Praying Friends, for taking our name and ministries before the Lord in prayers. Thank you for your love and faithfulness. God is truly interested in all of us worshipping and serving His Son, in His immersionist (Baptist) assembly - and He is surely worthy - let's continue being faithful to Him.

(Above photo) - VBS

(Above photo) - Lola (Grandmother) Tess' Bible study. It is an honor and a privilege to serve the Lord Jesus Christ here in Taguig City. The Lord’s golden candlestick is shining brightly here in Tuktukan as we are also affecting a few of our surrounding villages for the Lord. We are very blessed to see a robust return of our Children’s Sunday School ministry touching an average of about 60 boys and girls each week. Please pray, as we observe that the window of opportunity to reach the young people dwindles as they enter their teen years. Some young people are desiring to own their own Bibles & are bringing their Bibles to church after they receive it. Some who are interested have started attending not only our regular Sunday services, but also, our Wednesday evening service. We must reach them while they are still young, and by God’s grace we will do our best to bring them to a saving knowledge of Christ. We are also seeing many people (young & old) taking steps of growth in the Lord. Praise God for the victories! Thank you, dear friends, for your fervent love and prayers. As the world gets worse and worse, may we continue to shine the glorious Gospel of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ because He alone is the answer to this hurting and rotting world of sin. Sis. Eden, his precious wife was able to accompany him. We praise God for their testimony and love for the Lord and His work. Dr. Raquintan will be celebrating 30 years of being the under-shepherd of CBC. Their church will be celebrating their 40th year anniversary in April. We thank God for CBC which is a precious golden candlestick for the Lord in Quezon City. Dr. Raquintan brought the word of God and you can hear his preaching and teaching ministry via our sermon audio webpage here: https://www.sermonaudio.com/solo/mzbmp/sermons/ - his messages are in Tagalog & English (which is actually called "Taglish").

Bill Hardeckerhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15552819877860565186noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-14877979.post-827844680770219642023-02-09T03:49:00.003-05:002023-02-09T03:49:50.510-05:00
Dear Praying Friends,

God is good. Our time with Dr. David Smith (Pastor of Community Baptist Church, Coopersburg, PA) was truly blessed of God. Many of our people expressed spiritual growth decisions as a result of hearing him preach God's Word on our Wed. Evening service (02/01/23). You can hear his preaching/teaching here. It is called: "How to Keep from Backsliding." What a tremendous reminder for all of us. We have already seen a few keep their commitments and decisions, and for this we are rejoicing in the Lord. Anytime we hear the word of God, we ought to expect reproofs, rebukes, and exhortations which propel us to make changes that are pleasing to God. This night was no exception. Please pray that souls would get saved, and lives would change as we continue to be exposed to Biblical truths through the faithful witness and speaking ministries of our special guests and faithful preachers here in our mission work at Tuktukan, Taguig.

Another special prayer request would be the potential mission work in East Rembo, Makati (a neighboring village and city). Please pray that we may meet and conduct some effective Bible studies with many individuals and that it may blossom into another mission work. We so desire to see churches planted for the honor and glory of God. Pray that people here would get saved, and surrendered to believer's baptism, and faithful church attendance. Pray for evangelistic efforts to be blessed, and for discipleship ministries to take off. Pray for God to open many hearts and we shall give Him honor, glory, and praise for the work that only He can do.

Sincerely,
Bro. By God's grace we were able to have a wonderful time of fellowship and 5 hours of intense preaching/teaching in the Word of God. Dr. Smith's flight was delayed, and so I asked if Dr. Raquintan would be able and willing to take the morning sessions, and thankfully, he did. Our people were edified, and about eight pastors and some of their people who were in attendance were also edified.

Bill Hardeckerhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15552819877860565186noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-14877979.post-58236034040831499892023-01-06T22:49:00.001-05:002023-01-06T22:49:14.355-05:00A Day of Special Bible Education

Dear Praying Friends,

We look forward to hosting another "Day of Special Bible Education." FIRST, The Philippines does not celebrate "Thanksgiving Day" like other countries that do celebrate it. Well, to be honest there are tons of holidays here already. But I do think it would be wonderful to thank God for His blessings as a country or even as a people or a nation. This is not the case here in the Philippines. So, we teach our people the importance of being thankful to God and we took advantage of a Philippine holiday that was closest to the week of Thanksgiving Day (USA) and moved our Wed. night service to a Tuesday night service for that particular week. SECOND, the activities that we did. We had a wonderful time of getting together starting off with a meal at 4PM (dinner) - we provided the main meats (roasted chickens and roasted pork bellies with an additional bucket of fried chicken, bottled waters, a few snack items) meanwhile others brought a dish or dessert. We ate good! Fun games started immediately and went on until 6:30PM. At 7PM we started our mid-week service with a song and testimonies of thanksgiving and praise to God. At 7:30PM I preached a short message, and we ended with observing the Lord's Supper. THIRD, we had some special guests join us for the evening. Our prayer is that they would get saved, and return and be fruitful disciples of the Lord Jesus Christ.

The last time we had a Night of Thanksgiving was about two years ago, prior to the pandemic. So this Night of Thanksgiving was very special to us. Please pray the Philippines continues to move on pass the pandemic stage and onto an endemic stage. The president of the Philippines (Marcos Jr.) will decide if he will discontinue the emergency status or extend it further into 2023. We hope that he ends it, and sooner too.

We sure are thankful to God for who He is! We love him not just for His blessings but for who He is and for being God almighty and unchangeable.

Merry Christmas,

Bro. Bill

P.S. This coming Sunday we are expecting potentially two special guests: one is Nanay (or "Mother") Elena and her grandson, Brent. The other is a lady who is temporarily staying near Manila Bay (methinks she is from California). Both have the potential of visiting our work in Tuktukan this Sunday (12/04) - I pray that there would be many other visitors, too. AND may many hearts be turned to the Lord in true repentance and faith. Thank you, dear friends for praying for us. Be well!
Bill Hardeckerhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15552819877860565186noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-14877979.post-77288598453743891202022-11-29T19:49:00.003-05:002022-11-30T03:45:09.778-05:00Our November news and prayer letter has been released
Dear Praying Friends,

Belated Happy Thanksgiving greetings to you and your families and church families. I trust that you are doing well, and by God's grace, we are doing well, also. AMEN!

If you would like to receive a copy of our monthly email updates, kindly comment below or email us a request at our email address which is hardecker at gmail dot com (I wrote it that way because I don't want to add any more spam or junk email to my email account).

Be well,

Bro. Bill

Ministry news:

1. We praise God for an increase in attendance - we have lots of young people and we are praising God for their enthusiasm and desire. Please pray that they would understand the good news of Jesus Christ, that they would repent of sin and turn to God through the Lord Jesus by faith.

2. We are praising and thanking God for allowing us to minister in the Sunday Schools, and Salvation Classes, and the adults/teens Bible Class. We are working our way through the book of Leviticus and we are loving the clearly defined distinctions between the clean and unclean (in Lev. 11-15) and we are finishing up learning about the day of atonement (in Lev. 16-17). There are so many Bible precepts and principles to gain from Leviticus and we just rejoice in being able to teach these things to our guests, visitors, and members.

3. On Sunday mornings, Bro. RJay is preaching/teaching on the Old Testament Pictures of Christ. In the PM services, I am preaching/teaching through the book of James. We had just finished four weeks on James 3:1-12 - on "Taming the Tongue" - And, thus far we have heard of some wonderful testimonies of believer's being strengthened through the preaching and teaching of God's holy word! It sure brings a smile to a preacher's heart to see spiritual growth in the lives of believers. Our Wed. night prayer meetings and Bible study also continues. We are going through the book of Psalms. Praise God! We are also thankful to God for the return of our annual "Night of Thanksgiving" special service (the last one we had was two years ago - so we have much to thank God for, indeed).

4. Our focus is now upon the Christmas season. We plan on rewarding our faithful Sunday School children with a field trip to enjoy some Christmas lights, and to be a blessing to them for their faithfulness. Our prayer is that we may also bring their parents and household to the Lord. Join us in prayers to God for His blessing upon His word as we minister to these children and families. Pray that ready hearts would receive His words and for spiritual increase.

Family news:

1. Marcia and the boys are working very hard with homeschooling.

2. I am working at gaining and learning some Hebrew (Old Testament Biblical language studies). I was able to submit my final draft for an MDiv. and now, I am working on some courses towards a DMin. - what in the world?!? Praise God for His unsearchable riches in Christ Jesus - no one will ever be able to exegete that.

3. We got to enjoy a day (Thanksgiving Day) with my mom, dad, and brother. They live in Angeles City about two hours north of us here in Taguig City, Metro-Manila. While we were there, we picked up a lovebird (which WT named "Raindrop"). So now, we got two birds (the other one is a cockatiel, named "Kiwi").
Bill Hardeckerhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15552819877860565186noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-14877979.post-19030533502734559892022-11-13T17:50:00.004-05:002022-11-13T17:50:48.541-05:0021st Century Missionary Email Problems
Historically speaking, we have come a looooong way from sending correspondences via pigeons and bottles with letters placed inside over the waves - we have even done better than the standard "snail" mail (and yet, there is something of character and thought when one gets a handwritten card or letter in the "snail mail). BUT, something lately that has bothered me is getting an email that I have not sent a recent update (mainly because I have failed to enter an "email address" to my monthly updates - that is my fault and I aim to correct that). Here are a couple things that would help me:

1. Email me your request. I will do my best to enter your email address onto my listing.

2. Update me with your latest and greatest email address (your most preferred email address for these kinds of emails). I still send them even though some of my friends have like three or four different email addresses ( - - you know who you are - - you can't possibly be checking the same messages on all of them - - so pick one and let me know - - unless you just like cluttered email inboxes from multiple accounts - - if that's how you roll, hey, you do you - - I personally think you are weird, but the feeling is mutual - - I get that).

3. Sometimes it would be nice to hear from you - send me your updates (not all the time, and don't ask me to reply to it, neither, but jot me a note - let me know you are still alive - coz it is weird sending emails to many whom I really have no recollection of - and I am fit'na nix all the extra - just to keep things on the up and up). Just being truthful here.

On to bigger and better things. Thank you for taking the time to read this.

Sincerely,

Me (Bro. Pray for other visitors to come to our regular Sunday services.

3. Pray for our young people to get saved and continue on for the Lord.

4. Pray for safety and health - we were robbed. But praise God all is well. Just pray! WT was sick and had to skip out on the AM and PM Sunday Service (but thankfully he was able to come to Sunday School and the following Bible Class for Teens and Adults - prior to leaving). Thank the Lord that he is doing much better now.

5. Pray that I may be able to visit and see Elena, again. She is doing well - or so it seems. Just continue to pray for her and her precious, and wonderful family (her sons, her grandson, her lady helper). Pray for her to recover well. Pray that I may get another chance next week to visit with her again. God is so good, she allowed me to read to her a portion of Scripture and pray with her - - despite being on a sickbed with a feeding tube, she raised her hands and prayed and out loud said "thank you, Lord" over and over again. I read John 1:1-5, and we had ourselves a short Bible study. She listened really well. Her son was in the room, too, listening. They both said that I am welcomed to come back anytime - - You know God is the one who has opened the door and I want to praise and thank God for that great door of opportunity to read the Scriptures and explain a little bit about the Word, and how that He was there already existing prior to the beginning of all things, and in perfect fellowship with the Father. How He made all things, and without Him nothing would be in existence. How He was the light which is our true and only light here in a dark and sin cursed world. Well, I asked if we could continue next week - - they said "absolutely" - WOW, I am so thankful to God for His mercy and for allowing me to share a word with them despite her stroke. AND the wonderful thing about it is that they want me to come back and share some more and to pray some more for them. GOD is so good! Please pray that Elena continues to progress. Please pray that five members of this household would all get saved.

P.S. Marcia made them a home-made loaf of bread and it surely smelled the room up with a "sweet smelling savor" - - They loved it (when I say, they, I mean Elena's sons and grandson, and helper).

I can't thank you enough Praying Friends - thank you! God has granted us an audience with her and her entire household. I will return to them next week.

FYI, her son already told me that when she gets to feeling better they will all pay us a visit at church. I told him, when they are ready, I will come pick them up so that they will have a ride to and from church - GLORY! My prayer is for the entire house to come to know the Lord as Saviour - - Elena was so thankful to God - - I really don't think she is too far from Kingdom. But let's just pray for God's word to be understood, and for the Holy Spirit of God to do the convicting, and for the Gospel to be heard and received. I am trusting God for great and wonderful things ahead.
Bill Hardeckerhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15552819877860565186noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-14877979.post-81494131286545420722022-09-01T10:03:00.000-04:002022-09-01T10:03:03.946-04:00An Update with My Visit with Ms. Elena
Thank you, Praying Friends.

I appreciate you taking the time to pray for my visit with Elena. She was heavily medicated when I got to her this afternoon - mainly didn't sleep well last night, and she pulled out her feeding tube which they had to restore. I was texted to re-schedule the meeting till tomorrow but since I was already on the way, I decided to go ahead and drop in for a short visit. They were very friendly towards me, and Elena herself called me "son" (in Tagalog, "anak") which is endearing lingo here - as if she acknowledge me as part of the family - she wasn't all there, 100%, but what little time I had with her, I felt like I was able to establish a good rapport with her and her children and helper. When I ask if I could pray with her, she said strongly: "Yes." It was a good first time meeting her. I look forward to visiting with her again, tomorrow. I am hoping she can get some better rest. Thankfully, her children are very open and welcoming towards me and told me I could visit with her tomorrow any time. - AMEN!

Please continue to pray for Elena to get better physically, for recovery from her stroke, for a good night's rest, for her feeding tube to be properly removed this Sat. And most especially, that she would turn to the Lord and take Him as her personal Saviour. Thank you again for your prayers, and just pray that God would be glorified and that they (all four of them in the house) would come to know the Jesus Christ as Saviour!

Bill Hardeckerhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15552819877860565186noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-14877979.post-77202828669123069702022-08-31T10:03:00.001-04:002022-08-31T10:03:21.805-04:00An Opportunity to Talk to A Stroke Victim About the Gospel
Dear Praying Friends,

Elena is a lady who suffered a stroke-attack. She is recovering now in her home (which is about 4 miles from where we live). Her daughter, Emma, ask me to visit her mom (Elena) and witness to her - we are praying that she would get saved. Emma is a member of First State Baptist Church in Wilmington, DE (under the watch-care of Pastor Sam Knickerbocker). Her brother, Ed, confirmed with me that I may visit Elena anytime this Thur. (09/01/22) so, I set it up for 1 PM visit. I plan on befriending her, praying for her, and witnessing to her about the Lord. Please pray that she would come to a saving knowledge of the Lord Jesus and that she would repent and turn to Christ alone for her salvation. I appreciate you taking the time to read this and I would ask you to please pray for her.

Be well,

Bro.
