The Voice and the Word

"In those days came John the Baptist, preaching in the wilderness of Judaea, And saying, Repent ye: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand. For this is he that was spoken of by the prophet Esaias, saying, The voice of one crying in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of the Lord, make his paths straight." (Matt. 3:1-3)

Christmas is over with, at least for another year. Not that I am against celebrating the joyous season. I think the only ones in the world that truly have the right to celebrate Christmas are Christians. I don't mind it if the markets happen to say "Season's Greetings" or "Happy Holidays" because that is a reflection of how the world approaches a Christian Holy-day. I say "Merry Christmas" because I want a mighty celebration of the birth of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
